Amendment to Notification Nos. 136/86-Cus., and 251/86-Cus. Notification No. 98/88-Cus. Dated 2-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. No. 58, in column (3), for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :- "Xylene excluding the following, namely :- (i) Orthoxylene (ii) Paraxylene; and (b) after Sl. No. 58A and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) "58B. 2902.43 Paraxylene 75% ad valorem .". 2. 251/86-Customs, dated the 16th April, 1986 In the opening paragraph of the said notification for the words "dimethyl terephthalate", the words "dimethyl terephthalate or terephthallic acid" shall be substituted.
