Exemption from auxiliary duty on all goods under Finance Act, 1987 during the period from 1-3-1988 to 31-3-1988 , so as to avoid double levy Notification No. 96/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 93 of the Finance Act, 1987 (11 of 1987), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts all the goods specified on the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), from the auxiliary duty of customs leviable thereon under sub-section (1) of section 93 of the second-mentioned Act during the period commencing on the 1st March, 1988 and ending on the 31st March, 1988.
