Amendment to Notification No. 38/78-Cus. Notification No. 82/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 38/78-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1978, namely :- In the said notification, - (i) in the opening paragraph, for the figure "55", the words, letters andfigures "heading Nos. 55.08, 55.09, 55.10 and 55.11" shall be substituted; (ii) for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely :- THE TABLE S. No. Name of the article Rate of duty (1) (2) (3) 1. Polyester filament yarn, polyester monofil and polyester strip 175% ad valorem 2. Acrylic yarn, acrylic monofil and acrylic strip 100% ad valorem plus Rs. 30 per kilogram. 3. Nylon filament yarn below 833.33 decitex 85% ad valorem . 4. Nylon filament yarn of 833.33 decitex and above 100% ad valorem plus Rs. 11 per kilogram. 5. Viscose filament yarn 15% ad valorem . 6. Cuprammonium filament yarn Nil 7. All articles other than those specified in Serial Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 above 100% ad valorem"
