Amendment to Notification No. 43/85, 45/85 and 65/87 Notification No. 77/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 43/85-Customs, dated the 28th February, 1985. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the words and figures "falling within Chapter 91" the words and figures "falling within Chapter 85 or Chapter 91" shall be substituted. 2. 45/85-Customs, dated the 28th February, 1985. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, in clause (a), for the figures and words "10 per cent", the figures and words "35 percent" shall be substituted. 3. 65/87-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the said notification, - (a) in the Table, in Sl. No. 5 and Sl. No. 6, in column (3), for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely :- "60% ad valorem "; (b) in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and word "31st March, 1988", the figures, letters and word "31st March, 1989" shall be substituted.
