Amendment to Notification Nos. 70/87 and 321/87 Notification No. 76/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 70/87-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1987. In the said notification, - (i) for the words "consumable goods", wherever they occur, the words "consumable goods and spare parts" shall be substituted; and (ii) for the words "rupees five lakhs", wherever they occur, the words "rupees ten lakhs" shall be substituted. 2. 321/87-Customs, dated the 22nd September, 1987. In the said notification, - (i) for the words "consumable goods", wherever they occur, the words "consumable goods and spare parts", shall be substituted; and (ii) for the words "two lakh rupees in value", the words "five lakh rupees in value", shall be substituted.
