Amendment to Notification No. 188/87 - 074/88 - Customs -Tariff

Amendment to Notification No. 188/87 Notification No. 74/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 188/87-Customs, dated the 29th April, 1987, namely - In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) for Sl. No. 3 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "3. (a) Electronic valves; (b) Electronic tubes (all types) including cathode ray tubes but excluding television picture tubes; (c) Black and white television picture tubes; (d) Colour television picture tubes with or without deflection yoke.": (ii) for Sl. No. 6 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "6. Diodes, transistors and similar semi-conductor devices (all types including arrays) but excluding the devices in D035/D041, T03/T0204/T092/R186/R195/R196/R207/ R210/R22 packages."; (iii) for Sl. No. 8 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "8. Electronic micro circuits."; (iv) for Sl. No. 16 and the entry relating theretp, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "16. Deflection components, namely :- (i) EHT/LOT/FBT transformer; (ii) Deflection yoke/Coil (iii) Line Driver transformer; (iv) Linearity coil; (v) Width coil."; (v) for Sl. No. 18 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "18. Air cored and Ferrite cored transformers."
