Amendment to Notification No. 344/86 Notification No. 69/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 344/86-Customs, dated the 16th June, 1986, namely :- In the said notification, - (a) in the opening paragraph, for the portion beginning with the words "the said Table, from -" and ending with the words "of the said Customs Tariff Act,", the words and figures "the said Table, from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule, as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate of 30 per cent ad valorem." shall be substituted; (b) in the Table, - (i) against S. No. 2. in column (4), after the words and figures "not exceeding 20 watts rating", the words, "electronic tuner" shall be inserted : (ii) S. No. 22, in column (3), the following words shall be added at the end, namely :- "alongwith associated catalysts".
