Amendment to notification No. 49/78-Cus., so as to replace the Table annexed to the notification by a New Table Notification No. 55/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 49/78-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1978, namely :- For the Table annexed to the said notification, the following Table shall be substituted, namely :- "TABLE Sl. No. Description (1) (2) 1. Explosimeter or combustible gas indicator 2. Single pan balance of a sensitivity 0.00001 grams 3. Vacuum type direct reading spectrometer".
