Amendment to notification No. 142/87-Cus., reducing the basic customs duty on ship for breaking to Rs. 750 per LDT. Notification No. 54/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 142/87-Customs, dated the 27th March, 1987, namely :- In the said notification, in clause (i), for the abbreviation and figures "Rs. 1,035", abbreviation and figures "Rs. 750" shall be substituted.
