Amendment to Notification Nos. 57/87 and 229/87 Notification No. 48/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 57/87-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1987. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against Sl. No. 2, for the entry under column (3), the entry "Rs. 5000/- per tonne" shall be substituted; (ii) against Sl. No. 4, for the entry under column (3), the entry "Rs. 5000/- per tonne" shall be substituted; (iii) against Sl. No. 5, for the entry under column (3), the entry "Rs. 8200/- per tonne" shall be substituted. 2. 229/87-Customs, dated the 4th June, 1987. In the Table annexed to the said notification, for the entry "(i) Nickel content 30 per cent to 35 per cent", the entry "(i) Nickel content 18 per cent to 35 per cent" shall be substituted.
