Amends Notification No. 30/83-Cus. Notification No. 289/87-Cus. Dated 10-8-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 30/83-Customs, dated the 25th February, 1983, namely :- In the said notification, - (i) in the opening paragraph, in Clause (a), for the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem", the figures and words "10 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted; and (ii) in paragraph 2, for the figures and words "24th day of February, 1988", the figures and words "9th day of August, 1988" shall be substituted.
