Amends 3 Notifications Notification No. 479/86-Cus. Dated 4-12-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 151-Customs, dated the 15th July, 1977. In the said notification,- (a) in the opening portion, the Proviso shall be omitted; (b) in the Table :- (i) Sl. No. 1 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; (ii) in Sl. No. 2, in Column (3), for the words "For other uses", the words "For use other than in the electric arc furnance or induction furnancfc" shall be substituted; 2. 2-Customs, dated the 1st January, 1979. In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of December, 1986", the figures, letters and words "31st day of May, 1987" shall be substituted. 3. 255/86-Customs, dated the 17th April, 1986. In the said notification,- (a) in the opening paragraph, for the figure and words, "5 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "20 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted; (b) in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of December, 1986", the figures, letters and words "31st day of May, 1987" shall be substituted.
