Imports against advance licences Notification No. 420/86-Cus. Dated 28-8-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 117-Customs (No. GSR 318(E), dated 9th June, 1978, namely :- (i) In the opening paragraph in condition (f), for the words 'or magnetic tapes', the words 'magnetic tapes or the goods specified against Sl. No. 144 and Sl. No. 145 of the First Schedule' to this notification shall be substituted. (ii) In the first Schedule after serial No. 143 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- Sl. No. Description of Goods Chapter or heading No. the first Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 144 Gold of 18 carats and below, sheets, tubes, pipes and wires in different shapes of gold of 18 carats and below and solders of gold of 18 carats and below. 71.08 145 Gold findings including spring rings, belt rings, clasps, clips, posts, screws clutches, collets, hooks, swivels, springs, machine made beads, chatons, settings, mountings, sockets, frames, blanks, (such as ring and ear ring blanks), preforms, circles and shanks, all of gold of 18 carats and below and solders of gold of 18 carats and below. 71
