Components required for specified electro-medical equipments Notification No. 260/86-Cus. Dated 24-4-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 165/86-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1986, namely :— In the said notification,— (a) the portion beginning with the words "subject to the following conditions" and ending with the words "and that already paid at the time of importation" shall be omitted; (b) in the Table, after Sl. No. 7 and the entry relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :— (1) (2) "8. Medical equipments, namely :— (a) Foetal monitor (b) Foetal Heart Detector (c) Surgical Diathermy (d) Multichannel EEG (e) Shortway diathermy for therapy (f) Hypothermia unit for open heart surgery (g) Electronic blood pressure indicator (h) Electronic tread mill (i) Nerve stimulator (j) Muscle stimulator (k) Utrasonic therapy unit (l) Premature baby incubator (m) Digital audiometer (n) Blood flow detector (o) ECG machines (including monitors and recorders) (p) Cardioscopes (q) Multichannel central monitoring system (r) Ultrasound scanner (s) Serum analyser.".
