Chemicals (Chapters 28 and 29) Notification No. 167/86-Cus. Dated 1-3-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 136/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986, namely :— In the Table annexed to the said notification — (a) after Sl. No. 13 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :— (1) (2) (3) (4) "13A. 2015.12 Sodium hydroxide in aqueous solution (soda lye or liquid soda) Rs. 3,500 per tonne"; (b) against Sl. No. 53, in column (3), — (i) entries (7) and (8) shall be omitted ; (ii) in entry 11, for figures and words "54 to 66 below", the figures, letter and words "53A to 66 below" shall be substituted; (c) after Sl. No. 53 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be Inserted, namely :— (1) (2) (3) 53A 29 The following compounds, namely :— Chloroquin Phosphate, Piperazine He-xahydrate, Dapsone, Chloramphenicol powder, Chloramphenical Palmitrate, 7ACA and 7ADCA, Cephalexin, Cloxacillin Sodium, Cephaloridine. 60 % ad valorem 53B 2917.36 Terephthalic acid and its salts 150% ad valorem 53C 2917.37 Dimethyl terephthalate 150% ad valorem (d) Sl. Nos. 60, 71, 72 and 74 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
