Foreign Travel Tax : Exemption to delegates attending Commonwealth Heads of Governments Regional Meeting at New Delhi Notification Number: 0508(E) Dated 01/09/1980 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 of 1979), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, hereby exempts the Heads of Governments and their spouses, and the delegates of Australia, Bangladesh, Fiji, Kiribati, Malaysia, Nauru, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Western Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and New Hebrides (Vanutu) coming to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Regional Meeting (CHOGRM II) to be held in New Delhi from the 4th September, 1980, to the 8th September, 1980, from payment of foreign travel tax leviable under sub-section (1) of section 35 of the said Act in respect of their international journey to any place outside India at the close of the said meeting. 2.
