Exemption from payment of tax for pillgrimage to Hayat Pitafi, Pakistan Notification Number: 0874(E) Dated 19-08-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 101 of the Finance Act, 1987 (11 of 1987), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, having regard to the purpose of foreign travel, hereby excempts from the payment of the whole of the foreign exchange conservation (travel) tax, leviable under Chapter-V of the said Act on any release of foreign exchange for pilgrimage to Hayat Pitafi, Pakistan.
