Setting up a sector specific SEZ for Heavy Engineering sector at Village Kattupalli, Ponneri Talulk District Tiruvallur, - Tamil Nadu - De-notification of certain area notified vide Notification Number S.O. 3118(E) dated 4th December, 2009 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) New Delhi , the 20th October, 2010 S.O. 2603(E).- Whereas M/s. L T Shipbuilding Limited has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the Act ) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Heavy Engineering sector at Village Kattupalli, Ponneri Talulk District Tiruvallur, in the State of Tamil Nadu; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , has notified a total area of 317.715 hectares at Village Kattupalli, Ponneri Talulk District Tiruvallur, in the State of Tamil Nadu as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 3118(E) dated 4th December, 2009 and subsequently notified an additional area of 2.55 hectares at above said villages in the State of Tamil Nadu as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification No. S.O. 2071(E) dated 25th August, 2010 ; And whereas, M/s. L T Shipbuilding Limited has proposed to include additional area of 190.525 hectares at Village Kattupalli, Ponneri Taluk, District Tiruvallur, in the State of Tamil Nadu as a part of that Special Economic Zone; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for additional Area of sector specific Special Economic Zone for Heavy Engineering sector at the said village on 21st July, 2010; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 190.525 hectares at Village Kattupalli, Ponneri Taluk, District Tiruvallur, in the State of Tamil Nadu comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, to be included as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely: Click here to view the full table or text [F.No.F.2/113/2008-SEZ] T.
