Director General (Safeguards) — Appointment of — Notification No. 89/2003-Cus. (N.T.) superseded Notification No. 86/2004-Cus. (N.T.), dated 7-7-2004 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Customs Tariff (Identification and Assessment of safeguard Duty) Rules, 1997, and in supersession of notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 89/2003-CUSTOMS (N.T.) issued vide G.S.R. No. 838 (E) dated the 23rd October, 2003, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Lakhinder Singh, Chief Commissioner, as the Director General (Safeguards) for the purposes of the said rules.
