Seeks to rescind notifications No. 75 and 76/2004-Customs, dated 26th July, 2004 which imposed Additional Duty of Customs on computers. 1st March, 2006 Notification No. 9 /2006-Customs In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3), read with sub-section (4) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 75/2004-Customs, [number G.S.R. 478(E)], dated the 26th, July, 2004, and the Computers (Additional Duty) Rules, 2004, notified vide No. 76/2004-Customs, [number G.S.R. 479(E)] dated the 26th July, 2004, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
