Vessels carrying exclusively coastal goods — Exemption from the delivery of the advice book [Notification No. 15/98-Cus. (N.T.), dated 27-2-1998] In exercise of the powers conferred by section 98A of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby exempts vessels carrying exclusively coastal goods from the delivery of the advice book on arrival at each port of call to the proper officer at that port : Provided that the proper officer may, whenever he deems necessary, call for the advice book for his inspection or inspect the same on board the vessel.
