Export of E.I.Tanned Hides Skins Freed TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART-II, SECTION-3, SUB SECTION (ii) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE NOTIFICATION No. 45 (RE-99)/ 1997-2002 NEW DELHI the 13 th January, 2000 S.O(E) In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in Schedule 2, Table-B of the book titled ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Imports items, 1997-2002. The following entry at code no.4101(b) relating to Hides and Skins may be amended as under:- Code Items description Policy Nature of Restriction 4101(b) (i) All categories of semi processed hides and skin and wet blue hides and skins and crust leather excluding E.I tanned hides and skin. (ii) E.I tanned hides and skin. Restricted Free Export permitted under licence The exporter shall be required to register the export contract with the Council for Leather Exports indicating the price, quantity etc. This issues in public interest.
