Sand & Soil Export to Maldives -Ceiling Enhanced - 48 (RE-99)/1997-2000 - Foreign Trade PolicyExtract Sand Soil Export to Maldives -Ceiling Enhanced NOTIFICATION No.48 (RE-99)/1997-2000 Dated 24th March, 2000 Sand Soil Export to Maldives -Ceiling Enhanced In exercise of the powers, conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in ITC (I-IS) Classifications of Export and Imports items, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 3 1st August, 1998). (i) The following entry shall be inserted in Table B of Schedule 2, under the heading "Salt, Sulphur; Earths and Stone; Plastering Materials, Lime and Cement" Code Item Description Policy Nature of Restriction 2505 Sand and Soil Restricted Export to Maldives permitted as per ceiling mentioned below, subject to issue of no objection Certificate within the annual ceiling by the Chemical and Allied Product Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) who shall monitor the ceiling and send a quarterly report to Policy Cell -III in DGFT. a) For the financial year 1999-2000. (enhanced ceiling for 1999-2000). Stone Aggregate- , From 1,00,000MTs to 1, 1 5,000MTs River Sand From 1,10,000MTs to 1,25,000MTs. b) For the financial year 2000-2001, 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 (on annual basis) Stone Aggregate: 1,90, 000MTs River Sand: 2, 10,000MTs (ii) The following entry shall be inserted in Appendix 1 of Schedule 2 after the existing entry No.39. 40 Sand and Soil Restricted However, export to Maldives permitted as per ceiling mentioned below subject to issue of no objection Certificate within the annual ceiling by the Chemical and Allied Product Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) who shall monitor the ceiling and send a quarterly report to Policy Cell-III in DGFT. a) For the financial year 1999-2000. (enhanced ceiling for 1999-2000). Stone Aggregate- From 1,00,000MTs to 1, 15,OOOMTs River Sand From 1,10,000MTs, to 1,25,000NITs. b) For the financial year 2000-2001, 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 (on annual basis) Stone Aggregate: 1,90,000MTs River Sand: 2,10,000MTs This issues in Public interest.
