Amendments in ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items NOTIFICATION No. 38 (RE-2001)/1997-2002, Dt. 16/11/2001 S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act,1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy ,1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the "ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made up to 31st August,1998)" and as amended from time to time; the existing entry and the amended entry are shown as follows:- 1. Table B of Schedule 2: (a) Existing Entry Code (1) Item Description (2) Policy (3) Nature of Restriction (4) 5202 Soft Cotton waste/Hard Cotton waste Free Certificate from Textile Commissioner, Mumbai on the registration, allocation, quality and quantity of export. However, EOU/EPZ units will not require any such registration and these units shall inform the office of Textile Commissioner of the quantity of cotton waste exported each quarter. (b) Amended Entry 5202 Soft Cotton waste/Hard Cotton waste Free Deleted (c) Effect of Amendment The restriction shown at column 4 in respect of item at Code No.5202 has been deleted. 2. Appendix 1 to Schedule 2 (a) Existing Entry S.No. Items Exports allowed on the fulfillment of following conditions/ production of documents 24 Soft Cotton waste/Hard Cotton waste Certificate from Textile Commissioner, Mumbai on the registration, allocation, quality and quantity of export. (b) Amended Entry 24 Deleted Deleted (c) Effect of Amendment The entry at S.No.24 in above Appendix has been deleted altogether. 3. This issues in public interest. Sd/- (N.L.
