Table B - Code No. 4401 - Extent of making Muli Bamboo free for export till 31st March 2007 NTF NO. 37/2003, DT. 26/03/2004 S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development Regulation) Act,1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.1, 2.1, 2.4 and 2.29 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007 (as amended from time to time), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the "ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 2002-2007". The entry at Code No. 4401 in Table B of Schedule 2 may be amended to the extent of making Muli Bamboo free for export till 31st March, 2007 which is as follows: The Export Policy before amendment: Code (1) Item Description (2) Policy (3) Nature of Restriction (4) 4401 Wood and wood products in the form of logs, timber, stumps, roots, bark, chips, powder, flakes, dust, pulp and charcoal except sawn timber made exclusively out of imported logs/timber (subject to conditions specified at code 4402) Prohibited Not permitted to be exported The Export Policy after amendment: 4401(i) Wood and wood products in the form of logs, timber, stumps, roots, bark, chips, powder, flakes, dust, pulp and charcoal except sawn timber made exclusively out of imported logs/ timber (subject to conditions specified at code 4402) except the item at 4401 (ii) below. Prohibited Not permitted to be exported. 4401(ii) Muli Bamboo (Melocanna baccifera) Free till 31st March, 2007 Subject to observance of Transit Rules of the concerned State Forest Departments under the Indian Forest Act, 1927. 2.
