Studded gold jewellery - 5% excise duty imposed Notification No. 30/98-CE Dated 8-9-98 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section, (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act. 1944 (1 of 1944) , the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.20/97-Central Excise, dated the 11th April, 1997,, namely: - In the Table to the said notification, after serial No. 1 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) 1A Studded gold jewellery 5%
