SEZ notified at Vilankurichi, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore, in the State of Tamil Nadu [PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY, PART-II SECTION-3, SUBSECTION (ii)] Government of India Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) New Delhi , dated the 11th April, 2007 . NOTIFICATION S.O.564 - (E).- Whereas M/s. Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited, a fully owned State Industrial Promotion Organisation of the State of Tamil Nadu, has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereinafter referred to as the Act, to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology/Information Technology Enabled Services Sector at Vilankurichi, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore, in the State of Tamil Nadu; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under subsection (8) of section 3 of the Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology/Information Technology Enabled Services at Coimbatore on 16th June, 2006; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the following area at Vilankurichi, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore, in the State of Tamil Nadu, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, as a Special Economic Zone, namely: Table Name of Survey No. Area (in hectares) Village (1) (2) (3) Vilankurichi (1)426/1 0.69 (2)426/2 2.86 (3)427/1 1.50 (4)427/2 2.93 (5)436 3.16 (6)461/3 0.04 (7)462/4 0.21 (8)463/4 0.16 (9)465/4 0.12 (10)466/4 0.09 TOTAL 11.76 (F.No. F.2/5/2006-EPZ) Anil Mukim, Joint Secretary to the Government of India.
