Income tax exemption granted to ICC Champions Trophy to be held this year NOTIFICATION NO. 204/2006, DATED 31-7-2006 S.o. 1230(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (39) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby notifies, (a) the ICC Development (International) Ltd., Craigmuir Chambers, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin islands, as the person; (b) the ICC Champions Trophy, 2006 to be held in India, as the International sporting event; (c) the income arising to ICC Development (International) Ltd. from ICC Champions Trophy, 2006 on account of sale of media and sponsorship rights, received or receivable from 1 [ Global Cricket Corporation Pte. Limited ] , 8 Shenton Way, 30-01, Temasek Tower, Singapore 068811, amounting to $42 million, as the specified income, for the purposes of the said clause. [F.NO. 150/57/2005-TPL] ********* Notes 1.
