Rescinded vide NOTIFICATION [F. No. F. 2/349/2006-SEZ] dated 29-04-2019 Set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Plot No. III-F/1,Action Area -III, New town, Kolkata, in the State of West Bengal by M/s. Bengal Shapoorji Developers Pvt. Limited MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 5th December, 2007 S.O. 2100(E). - Whereas M/s. Bengal Shapoorji Developers Pvt. Limited, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Plot No. III-F/1,Action Area -III, New town, Kolkata, in the State of West Bengal. And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the said Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at the said area of New town on 23rd August, 2006; And whereas the Central Government has granted the approval for the change of the name of the developer from Shapoorji Pallonji Co. Ltd. to Bengal Shapoorji Developers Pvt. Limited on 14th September, 2007 to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the land measuring 20.2345 hectares comprising Plot No. Ill-F/I, Action Area-III, New town, Kolkata, in the State of West Bengal as Special Economic Zone.
