Prohibition on export of Edible Oils - regarding. - 92 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 - Foreign Trade Policy

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART II SECTION 3, SUB SECTION (ii) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE NOTIFICATION NO. 92 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 NEW DELHI, THE 1 st APRIL, 2008 Subject : Prohibition on export of Edible Oils - regarding. S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby makes, with immediate effect, following additions, at the end of Paragraph of 1 of Notification No.85 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 17.3.20 08 : 1 [ 1.1 Restrictions imposed vide this Notification shall not apply to the following: (i) Export of Castor Oil, (ii) Export of Coconut Oil through Kochi Port, (iii) 'Deemed export' of edible oils to 100% export oriented units with the condition that the final product be non-edible, (iv) Export of Oils produced out of minor forest produce, as per table given below, even if edible : ITC (HS) Code Item Description 15159010 Fixed Vegetable oils viz. Neutralised and Bleached Morwah Oil/fat, Neutralised and Bleached Kokum oil/fat, Neutralised and Bleached Sal oil/ sal fat / Stearine. 15159020 Fixed vegetable oils viz. Dhup oil, Neemseed oil 15159030 Fixed vegetable oils viz. Nigerseed oil. 15159040 Fixed vegetable oils viz. Neutralised and Bleached Mango kernel fat/oil/stearine/olein. 15179010 Sal Fat (Processed or Refined). 15219020 Shellac wax, whether or not coloured. (v) Export of edible oil from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) to Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to be consumed by the SEZ units for manufacture of processed food products. ] 2. Amended vide Notification No. 3(RE-2008)/2004-2009, dated 11/04/2008 "1.1 Restrictions imposed vide this Notification shall not apply to the following : (i) Export of Castor Oil, (of non-edible grade), (ii) Export of Coconut Oil through Cochin Port, (iii) Deemed export of edible oils (as input raw material) from DTA to 100% EOUs for production of non-edible goods, to be exported, and (iv) Export of Oils produced out of minor forest produce, as per table given below, even if edible : ITC (HS) Code Item Description 15159010 Fixed Vegetable oils viz.
