Revision Application unit in MoF Created  

Notification No. 28/99-CE(N.T.)   Dated 3/5/1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely :-

1. (I) These rules may be called the Central Excise (Nineth Amendment) Rules, 1999.

(II) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in rule 218B, in sub-rule (1), for the words, brackets and figures ""Under Secretary (Revision Application), Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), New Delhi - 110001"", the words, figures and letters ""Under Secretary, Revision Application Unit, Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, 4th Floor, Jeevan Deep Builiding, Sansad Marg, New Delhi - 110001"" shall be substituted.
