CBDT notifies that the provisions of sub-section (1) of the said section shall not apply to mentioned below NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.1534 DATED 24-3-1976 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 230A of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby notifies that the provisions of sub-section (1) of the said section shall not apply to :-- ( a ) a Government company as defined in section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956) ; and ( b ) a corporation established by or under a Central, State or Provincial Act
