Central Government authorise every Assistant Commissioner of Income-tax specified in column (2) appended to this order to perform the functions of a competent authority under Chapter XXA of the said Act within the local limits specified in the corresponding entry in column (3 ) NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.3688 DATED 30-10-1978 In partial modification of order No. 106/74 (328/227/74--WT), dated 20-11-1974, and by virtue of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 269B of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby authorise every Assistant Commissioner of Income-tax specified in column (2) of the Table appended to this order to perform the functions of a competent authority under Chapter XXA of the said Act within the local limits specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table :-- 2. This order shall come into force on 1-11-1978. TABLE 1.
