Approved Institution Friends of Auroville Research Foundation, New Delhi u/s 35CCB NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.160 DATED 16-8-1983 It is hereby notified for general information that the institution/association mentioned below and its programme given hereunder has been approved by the Secretary, Department of Environment, Govt. of India, New Delhi, being the Prescribed Authority under rule 6AAC of the Income-tax Rules, 1962, for the purpose of section 35CCB of the Income-tax Act, 1961 : Name of the Institution Auromitra : Friends of Auroville Research Foundation, New Delhi. Programme " Afforestation, soil and water conservation and agroforesty development 1983-86. " Both the approvals accorded by the prescribed authority, namely, ( i ) to the institution under sub-section (2), and ( ii ) to the programme under sub-section (1) of section 35CCB are valid for a period of three years with effect from 1-12-82 to 30-11-85 subject to the following conditions : ( i ) " Auromitra " shall maintain a separate account of donations received by it for the above-mentioned programme. ( ii ) The " Auromitra " shall furnish a progress report on the programme to the prescribed authority by 30th April, each year. ( iii ) The " Auromitra " shall submit to the prescribed authority by the 30th June, each year, a copy of their audited annual accounts showing their total income and expenditure and balance-sheet showing the position of the above mentioned programme separately. ( iv ) The approvals are subject to the continued satisfaction of the prescribed authority and may be withdrawn with retrospective effect, if considered necessary. [No. 5363/F. No. 203/243/82-ITA. II
