The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has established the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) at IMT, Manesar (Haryana) to function as a Think-Tank, as well as a Capacity Building and Service Delivery Institute to help in Corporate Governance, Reforms & Regulations through synergized knowledge management, partnership and problem solving in a One-Stop-Shop mode. Since its inception the Government has released Grants-in-aid of ₹ 71.89 crore to the IICA, so far, as per the following details:
During the period 2008-09 to 2015-16 the Institute has utilized ₹ 68.39 crore for running the Institute and expenditure towards various training programmes conducted by its Schools and Centres. In addition, in FY 2015-16 ₹ 3.50 crore was released to IICA for strengthening of ICLS Academy. This was stated by Shri Arun Jaitley, Minister of Corporate Affairs in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today. |
