PPPAC Approves PPP Projects Worth ` 7553.83 Crore

The Forty-second meeting of PPPAC, chaired by Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, held on April 19, 2011 and granted approval to 7 projects of Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.  These projects are in five States. The estimated project cost of the approved projects is `7553.83 crore.

Since its constitution in January 2006, PPPAC has granted approval to 219 projects, with an estimated project cost of `213780.58 crore. These include National Highways (hundred and seventy one projects), Ports (Twenty two projects), Airports (two projects), Housing (seventeen projects) Tourism Infrastructure (one project) Railways (one project) and Sports Stadia (five projects).
