Review of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 |

With an objective of boosting exports and domestic manufacturing and reducing trade deficit, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has started an exercise to review the current Foreign Trade Policy. The present Foreign Trade Policy was brought out on 1st April 2015 and is valid for five years which ends on 31st March 2020. A midterm review was held in December 2017 after the introduction of GST. Directorate General of Foreign Trade has brought out Trade Notice No. 21/2019-20 dated 28.06.2019 read with Trade Notice No. 22 dated 03.07.2019, inviting suggestions for the proposed new policy, within 15 days, from all concerned, which can be uploaded on Google Form on the link http://bit.ly/2NuJh9Z. In this regard the Ministry of Commerce & Industry is also holding consultations with various stakeholders including exporters, industry associations, commodity boards, foreign missions, State governments and various ministries of Government of India. |
