Steps to Increase Export of Coffee
The State-wise and year-wise details of coffee production during the last three years are as under :-

The Coffee Board is implementing various programmes / schemes for improvement in production, productivity and quality as well as for promotion of exports and value addition in the coffee sector. The schemes being implemented by the Board are Research & Development programmes for Sustainable Coffee Production ; Development Support Scheme for Coffee ; Rainfall Insurance Scheme for Risk Management to Coffee growers; Support for Mechanization of Farm Operations and Export Promotion scheme .
The activities undertaken by the Coffee Board / Govt of India under these schemes have resulted in increase in the production of coffee from 2,89,600 MT during 2009-10 to 3,20,000 MT in 2011-12. The volume of coffee exports has increased from 1,96,002 MT during 2009-10 to 3,48,029 MT in 2011-12 (provisional, based on permits) . Total value realization has increased from Rs.2070.68 crores during 2009-10 to Rs.4888.30 crores during 2011-12.
