Important cases heard in the Delhi High Court on Thursday, April 3: * HC directed Customs officials to ensure that old and personal jewellery of travellers, including ornaments being worn by them during travel, are not unnecessarily detained at airports and they are not harassed.

* HC observed that a DNA report only proved paternity and not the absence of consent and acquitted a rape convict sentenced to a 10-year jail term.

* HC advanced the hearing of former union minister P Chidambaram's plea against the cognisance of a chargesheet against him in the INX Media money laundering case.

* HC refused to grant bail to a man accused of sexually assaulting his minor daughter underlining the courts' bounden duty to protect the rights of children whose parents didn't stand by them.

* HC upheld charges against owners of two clubs here of allegedly selling liquor and hookah to minors and destroying evidence including CCTV footage. to boost their earnings.
