there is no problem at all if u file income tax return without paying the tax. later on when asstt. takes place, u will get a demand notice and then u can pay the tax with interest.

Better pay admitted tax and interest and file a revised return, if permissible Or pay tax and interest and file challan with the A.O. with a suitable covering letter.
