Taxation for goods sold on Facebook / Google etc

Hi all,

Kindly let me know whether there is any need of payment of taxes for goods that are sold on Social Media like Facebook or Google +. And if any is the taxes need to be paid by the people who sell the goods or the group admins / owners ?

All such sales should be supported with proper invoices/bills and such sales is liable to tax; local VAT / CST depending upon the movement of goods under the sale. Normally, the trading firms transacting business through the portal would be issuing bills and charging applicable VAT/CST.
