VAT TIN number will be same or will required to take new VAT tin bumber, VAT + CST

Hi ,

My friend is opening a new firm at bhiwandi but already he is having a firm at mumbai with VAT TIN number.

business nature is same, name of the business is same ,.. just a new branch of it.

is he will get new VAT TIN number or existing Mumbai location's VAT TIN number will ok for new branch of bhiwandi

pls advice.

If it is a branch then same VAT TIN. If it is new firm then separate TIN is required.
