Can an existing DTA unit which has over 95% of the business through exports apply for conversion to SEZ Posts / Replies Showing Replies 1 to 6 of 6 Records Page: 1
Yes. It can be converted into SEZ. What is crucial is to achieve positive NFE (Net Foreign Exchange) in five years. In other words, exports should be more than imports.
Thanks Mr. Kasturi Seth , is it possible to highlight the process that we need to follow / any website link that I can take a look for this conversion .
Dear Querist, For this, you will have to visit jurisdictional SEZ Officer. There are so many formalities to be completed. Everything is not available on the site. Latest and correct information and procedure, it is better to visit the office of In-charge SEZ Unit.
You will find details of it via Appendix -6J - JURISDICTION OF SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES - Foreign Trade Procedure 2015-2020 (From 5-12-2017 to 31-3-2020) Revised
