The Government of India, u/s 14 of the Customs Act, 1962, issued Notification No. 40/2024-Customs (N.T.) on 6th June, 2024, replacing Notification No. 36/2024-Customs(N.T.). The notification determines the exchange rates for various foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported and export goods. Schedule I lists rates for currencies like Australian Dollar, EURO, Pound Sterling, etc. Schedule II lists rates for Japanese Yen, Korean Won, etc. The rates are effective from 7th June, 2024.
