Export containers to undergo mandatory weighment at CPP for certain exports.

The Public Notice requires mandatory weighment of self-sealed export containers at the Centralized Parking Plaza (CPP) for non-AEO exporters in specific categories before Customs registration. This applies to exports with a drawback claim over Rs. 1 lakh, an IGST refund over Rs. 5 lakh, exports under special schemes, goods subject to export duty, and a 10% random selection. Containers must present a weighment slip from the CPP custodian for Shipping Bill registration. This measure, effective from September 1, 2024, aims to streamline export procedures. .....
