1981 (11) TMI 164 - HC - VAT and Sales Tax

The High Court of Allahabad dismissed the revision petition, ruling that glass sheets are not considered glassware based on commercial and popular sense. The revising authority found that glass sheets are fundamentally glass used to make various articles, and are distinct from glassware. The court cited a Supreme Court decision regarding the interpretation of the term "glassware." The revision petition was dismissed with costs assessed at Rs. 200.
