2014 (4) TMI 1207 - HC - Indian LawsRefund of security deposit which was furnished in pursuance of a contract awarded to the petitioner- Held that - reliefs which are claimed are purely in terms of money decree for the payment of work allegedly due in respect of bills submitted for execution of certain work orders. Such reliefs cannot be granted in exercise of a writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution - petition dismissed.
The petitioner sought payment for work done, but the court ruled that such claims cannot be granted under Article 226. The petitioner must seek ordinary civil remedy for the claim. The petition was dismissed with no costs.
