2000 (2) TMI 99 - SCH - Central Excise

The Supreme Court of India remanded the case regarding factory maintenance to the Assistant Collector for further investigation as ownership alone does not determine maintenance responsibility. The respondent, a company, owns the factory, but the question of maintenance remains unclear. The case is to be reheard to determine maintenance responsibility.
