2023 (8) TMI 1533 - SCH - Money LaunderingSeeking permission to withdraw the Special Leave Petition with liberty to file a fresh petition in the event the predicate offence is revived - Money Laundering - the Settlement Commissioner completed the work that was assigned to him and submitted a report to this court, based on which, the prosecution was quashed by this Court - it was held by the High Court that ' the quash petition deserves to be allowed since the prosecution of the accused in the predicate offence has already been quashed by this court'. HELD THAT - The Special Leave Petition is disposed of as withdrawn, as prayed.
The Supreme Court of India allowed the petitioner to withdraw the Special Leave Petition with liberty to file a fresh petition if the predicate offence is revived. The Special Leave Petition was disposed of as withdrawn. Justices Abhay S. Oka and Pankaj Mithal presided over the case.
