The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, MADRAS rejected the application for suspension of the order of the Collector (Appeals) pending the appeal before the Tribunal. The Tribunal stated that when the appellant is Revenue, there is no need for prior deposit of duties and penalties pending the appeal. The Miscellaneous Application was deemed infructuous.
